Filament tracker for Anycubic

Track filament on Anycubic with ACE, automatically

In short: Spooly reads your prints through the Anycubic Cloud and deducts the usage from the spool in the matching ACE slot. It checks every 30 to 120 minutes. You need an Anycubic account, and the printer can't be in LAN mode.

I develop Spooly on my own in Vienna. Spooly is an independent product and not part of Anycubic. The connection uses an unofficial API that Anycubic can change at any time.

How it works

    Sign in at Anycubic

    In the app, the Anycubic sign-in page opens right inside Spooly. On a computer, a bookmark brings the sign-in to Spooly. You only enter your password at Anycubic.

    Assign your spools

    You add your spools and assign them to the ACE slots. If an assignment is uncertain, Spooly asks.

    Print

    Finished prints arrive through the cloud, and the usage comes off the right spool. Anycubic doesn't report live, so this can take a while.

What Spooly does

Printers
Kobra S1, Kobra 3 and Kobra X, each through the Anycubic Cloud.
Multicolor
ACE Pro, ACE Pro 2 and the built-in ACE Gen 2 of the Kobra X, with 4 slots each.
Grams
Spooly takes the best value Anycubic reports: first the measured length, then the firmware estimate, and last the slicer data.
Also included
Cost per print, a forecast of when a spool runs out, maintenance log and drying reminders.

What it can't do

  • If the printer is in LAN mode, Spooly can't see its prints.
  • Anycubic doesn't report a second ACE. You assign spools there yourself, and Spooly can't read their chip.
  • You sign in again about every 90 days, Spooly reminds you a week before.
  • Anycubic doesn't report live, so a finished print is sometimes deducted later.

Does the Anycubic connection cost anything?
No. It is included in the Free plan with up to 20 spools.
Does Spooly get my Anycubic password?
No. You only enter it on the Anycubic page.
Does this work with other spools without a chip?
Yes. You assign the spool to the slot in Spooly, the brand doesn't matter.
