v7.0.3
10 september 2026
Nytt
A bugfix-only update. First, the most important point: Starting with 7.0.2, 300-dpi Niimbot printers were unable to print any labels. This is fixed, along with eight other bugs.
Niimbot Labels: On 300-dpi printers like the B1 Pro, printing failed with an error message since 7.0.2. Ironically, this was triggered by the change to actual size from the last update.
Suggest Challenge: For most accounts, the button resulted in a server error.
3MF Import: For the required materials, it always showed "0 g available", even though suitable spools were present. Spooly now compares the material family, so a "PLA Basic" covers a PLA requirement.
New Storage Location: If you create a storage location in the edit dialog, it is immediately available for selection instead of only after reloading.
iPad: After exporting a PDF, the view was cut off on the right until restarting the app.
Exports in the app: Backup, Data Export, CSV, Inventory, and the QR code of a share link did nothing in the app. They now open the sharing window.
Other Languages: The browser incorrectly identified the app as German and offered to translate it, causing already translated terms to be translated a second time.
Filter by Surface: The filter was never visible in the inventory.
Achievement Brand Expert: The description did not specify that it was about contributions to the Community Catalog, not about manufacturers in one's own inventory.

v7.0.2
8 september 2026
Settings as a Directory: Each group shows its current value inline, each card is a dedicated sub-page, search finds any setting, and you configure notifications per event.
Prints rebuilt: A card for all screen sizes, prints grouped by Today, Yesterday, and Week with totals, filter as a sheet, swipe to hide or delete, and the menu within thumb reach.
Check Print: First status, then stepper-driven pull-off, then usage type. The filament picker opens on the desktop as a popover with keyboard control.
Mobile Dialogs: Confirmations and short dialogs, such as weighing, now appear as a bottom sheet. The weighing dialog shows Before and After values with the difference.
Camera in Photo Import: AI Import now features a dedicated camera button that directly opens the camera within the app. Gallery and PDF options remain alongside it.
Connected Printers: The settings show an overview with one row per provider and a dedicated page per provider. In the Printer Hub, there is always a button to connect.
Spool per Printer: Prusa printers without MMU now have a holder slot in the printer hub. The spool assigned there is directly deducted for every imported print, without re-verification.
Default Cost Items: In the cost settings, you determine which cost items a job calculates. The Cost Breakdown dialog only saves a deviation after you make changes there, and resets it to the default with a click.
Note on connection issues: If the connection to a printer in the cloud is lost or access is about to expire, this will now be displayed at the top of every page, with a button leading directly to the connections.
Header: Spans the full width on all pages, title left, actions and bell right.
Desktop Prints: The actions are always visible, not just on hover, and have real tooltips.
Bambu First Import: Now fetches all prints from the cloud; previously, it was limited to the last 20.
Spool View: The group header shows material, finish, humidity, and fill level at every screen width, and the compact list once again names the manufacturer.
Security: Dependencies updated, both security audits without findings.
Bambu Auto-Import: Ongoing prints were prematurely imported as successful and deducted; I have corrected the affected stock levels.
AMS with Live Connection: A pulled spool remained stuck in the Slot, now the Slot is cleared.
Last 7 days: The chart calculates in your timezone, so prints shortly after midnight no longer end up on the previous day.
Android: The bottom navigation was hidden under the system bar, and PDF or CSV exports in the app crashed or arrived corrupted.
Fix Auto-Import: The percentage field showed 100 as 10.
Change Suggestion: Now includes the spool number.
Color families: Beige counts as brown instead of white.
Quick-Add: The catalog card wrapped on narrow screens.
Refinements: Fixed six review findings, including gray color dots in the filament filter, two-line print card titles, and the checkbox in the Assign dialog.
OTA Updates: An update is only considered healthy once the first screen is drawn. Otherwise, the app reverts to the last working version.
Orders suddenly calculated full costs: Since 7.0, electricity, depreciation, and estimated print labor time were active for all orders, even old ones. Without manual selection, only material, production steps, additional material, and margin are now counted again.
Payment Failure Email: The button to update the card led to nowhere.
Niimbot Labels: On 300-dpi printers like the B12 Pro, labels came out scaled down. Additionally, Spooly now cleanly disconnects after each job so the printer can be found again for the second print.

v7.0.0
30 augusti 2026
Spool Photo: Attach a photo to the spool, e.g., the manufacturer's label. It replaces the color ring in the tile, list, and on the spool page, so you can recognize spools at a glance.
Spool Page: Tapping a spool opens its page in the app: photo, remaining quantity, storage location, storage conditions and humidity, all data, consumption forecast, and the prints made with this spool. Edit, Weigh, QR code, and Replenish directly from there.
Prints with this spool: On the spool page, you will see all prints made with this spool, including gram usage and total, even for multi-color prints.
Total Costs per Order: Orders now display costs (material, labor, shipping, packaging, accessories) and price (with margin, fee, and tax) in the list and header. The options from the cost dialog are saved with the order. Work steps without their own rate now use the hourly rate from the settings, which may change the budget utilization of existing orders.
QR Scan in Spool Selection: Anywhere you select a spool (print job, AMS Slot, post-check, import), scan its label directly in the selection instead of searching.
Print Hours per Printer: The printer cards on the Prints page now show print hours in addition to the count.
Customer name on job: On the print card, the customer is listed behind the job.
Plate Number: Prints from multi-plate files show which plate was printed.
Spool ID when sharing: Shared collections show the number of each spool.
Print as PDF: In the Print menu, you can export the currently filtered list with date, printer, spools, grams, duration, and cost.
Spool Density and Density Correction: Spools now have a density field (pre-filled from the catalog). If you print third-party filament with generic Slicer profiles, you can enable the correction in the settings: Spooly converts the Bambu grams to the actual density and writes it to the history.
AMS Suggestion: For the same color, Spooly first suggests the partially used spool; for Bambu spools, it suggests the one whose remaining amount matches the AMS measurement.
App Updates now run invisibly: The app downloads new versions in the background and activates them on the next launch or when it moves to the background. No reloading in the middle of your work, no prompts.
Browser Updates: New versions are silently installed as soon as you switch tabs, never in the middle of a dialog or input. A notification will now only appear if an update is truly immediately necessary.
"Spool" instead of "Roll": Eleven texts now use the correct term.
Series: The texts now correctly explain that the series counts days with app usage. The print streak lives in the Challenges.
Total Prints: Prints without printer assignment were double-counted in the "All" tab.
Inventory Warning: An almost empty spool with a full replacement spool of the same color is no longer considered low inventory, neither in statistics nor in notifications.
Aborted Prints: Print time is now counted proportionally to progress instead of 0 or the full time.
Cost Calculator: Print time now assumes "1.5" hours instead of rounding to 1.
Cost Breakdown (PDF): The VAT was listed in the line items but not in the subtotal. Now: Line items, Net subtotal, Margin, Total net, VAT, Total price.
In-app Subscription: The Pro page in the app now links to the website instead of opening the Stripe portal.
iPhone App: Crash shortly after launch when the "Load new version?" prompt appeared after an update. This prompt and all other system dialogs (e.g., when deleting a project) have been replaced by Spooly's own dialogs.
Android: Back button, app links, and resuming after switching to the background stopped responding since June.

v6.15.0
25 augusti 2026
Filament catalog more than doubled: A user donated their color collection: around 11,800 new entries across 107 new brands, many with empty spool weights. The catalog search now also finds Inland, ColorFabb, Sovol, Ultimaker and many more.
Spool Change Follow-up: Spooly now automatically detects tool changes in multi-color prints and presents them as "Slot or Tool Change only". You must consciously select "Spool Empty", and nothing will be automatically deducted anymore.
Automatically Log Unique Prints: New toggle in printer connections. If the filament assignment is unambiguous, Spooly immediately deducts consumption without manual review. Uncertain cases such as color discrepancies or multicolor estimates will continue to require manual review. Applies to BambuLab, Prusa, and Klipper.
Cancel with Feedback: If you cancel your Pro subscription, you can tell me why with one click. That helps me more than any statistic.
Prints List: Loads incrementally when there are many prints, making it significantly faster.
Filament Selection: The AMS and storage location hints now appear in all selection lists, including in post-inspection and print import.
Auto-Import Post-Print: The Bambu Cloud often only reports completed prints minutes later. Spooly now re-checks after 3 and 10 minutes instead of waiting for the next cycle. Prints that get stuck in "running" or "paused" status in the cloud will still be imported as completed.
Print Projects: Cloud prints were not associated with their project if the filename did not match the model name. Spooly now reads the title directly from the 3MF.
Filament Change for Multicolor Prints: Previously, every planned slot change would trigger a 'Filament change awaiting confirmation' message. This is no longer an issue.
Quick Actions: Did not respond on the second tap on the same page.
Coil List: The refill badge was missing in the new list view.
Languages: Moisture Legend, Forecast, and Color Mode Selection were only in English across ten languages.
Cancellation: Checking the cancellation period caused an error for Pro users.
Niimbot (iOS): Connection to label printer failed.
Android: The in-app QR scan lacked camera permission (starting with the next store update).

v6.14.0
15 augusti 2026
Keep empty spools: Automatic archiving of empty spools can now be disabled (Settings, Filament display). This is useful if you intentionally manage partially used spools with 0 grams and still want to keep them in the list.
Inventory List: Now loads incrementally for large inventories, making it significantly more responsive.
Additional Material in Orders: The window was empty when clicking the pen icon, instead of showing the entered values.
Spool Changes for Printers without AMS: Spooly constantly reported changes that never happened and was able to set full spools to 0 grams. Both issues have been fixed, and I have already corrected the affected inventories.
Create Spool: Surface, Color Mode, and Special Effect were previously only available in German and English, now in all twelve languages.
Duplicate Projects: Failed with a server error.

v6.13.0
11 augusti 2026
Smoother app: I found and removed several invisible slowdowns that were constantly running in the background, especially in the Android app.
Inventory list: Remains responsive even with many spools and during search.
Dialogs: Open faster.
Faster App Launch: The splash screen now only waits as long as necessary instead of a fixed two seconds (starting with the next store update).
Fonts: Spooly now loads all fonts entirely from its own servers, without connecting to Google Fonts.

v6.12.0
10 augusti 2026
Multi-edit: Select multiple spools and collectively change price, usage type, storage location, manufacturer, and refill status.
Catalog Selection: Results show manufacturer, material, and product line along with hex code and article number — in the language of your filament list.
AMS-Backup-Slots: When automatically switching to a backup slot, the live countdown continues and usage is correctly distributed.
Settings: Niimbot direct printing can be hidden.
Performance: Spooly is much more responsive again — the causes of the lagging since the database migration have been fixed.
AMS HT: The unit is correctly named "AMS HT" instead of "AMS 129", phantom cards disappear on next sync, slot indicators and spool changes work.
Filament Variants: PLA Silk, PLA Matte, etc. are correctly recognized in the AMS and assigned to the correct spool.
Live Update: After a filament change on the printer, the app updates itself.
Reconnect: For Bambu Lab, the button directly opens the login window; for Prusa, the reconnect directly restarts the connection.
AMS Mapping: Deleted and newly created coils automatically find their slot again; missing assignments appear as an open suggestion.
Statistics Period: The custom period also works for less than 7 days and displays the selected range in the selection field.
Cost Calculation: Preliminary Calculator and Cost Breakdown calculate work time using the same formula; an hourly rate of 0 is respected.
Printer: Hidden printers remain permanently hidden.
Free Plan: The reel limit no longer counts archived reels; the limit message appears in your language.
Stability: Fixed a rare crash when loading language packs (especially iOS Safari).
Prints List: No more empty placeholders for prints without covers.
Maintenance: During server maintenance, a genuine maintenance page with automatic reloading will be displayed.

v6.11.0
27 juli 2026
New Foundation: Spooly now runs on a more modern database technology (PostgreSQL). This was the reason for the server maintenance on July 27 — all data was fully migrated, making the app faster and more reliable.

v6.10.0
23 juli 2026
Rename AMS units: Give your AMS units custom names like "AMS Dry" or "PLA Storage" — directly in the printer area via the pencil icon next to the unit.
Bambu printers were not fully registered internally: Since mid-May, newly connected BambuLab printers were missing from the internal printer list. The AMS slot assignment consequently sometimes relied on outdated data, and in onboarding or the maintenance log, the printer was considered disconnected. I have automatically repaired affected accounts.

v6.9.4
23 juli 2026
Withdraw Cookie Consent: In Settings, under Privacy, you can now withdraw your selection at any time.
Label printing in the app works again: The Niimbot connected successfully, but then failed to print and timed out after a few seconds. The app was addressing an incorrect Bluetooth channel; this issue never occurred in the browser.
No more duplicate spool numbers: After an import from Spoolman, newly created spools could be assigned a number that was already taken. I have corrected already affected numbers.
Incorrect Spool for Bambu Prints: If your printer reports a significantly different color for a slot than the registered spool, the print is now flagged for review instead of deducting grams from the wrong spool.

v6.9.3
23 juli 2026
Under the Hood Maintenance: I fixed the internal analytics I use to see which features are truly being used. This doesn't change anything for you.

v6.9.2
22 juli 2026
Lifetime Upgrade for Subscribers: Existing Pro subscribers can now switch to the Lifetime version directly from subscription management. Your subscription will automatically end at the end of the current period, so nothing runs in parallel.
Multi-color prints in Statistics: After spool checks, multi-color prints remained internally unassigned and were therefore missing from statistics and reports. This has been fixed, including retroactively for older prints.
AMS slots now load automatically: Previously, your AMS's slot data was only retrieved via the Sync button. Now, this happens automatically when you open the Printer view, ensuring new printers don't show up with empty slots.
Automatically assign unassigned filament: If you have multiple identical rolls (same color, same material, same manufacturer) in your inventory, Spooly now automatically assigns the AMS spool instead of making you choose between identical rolls.
iPad View after App Switch: On the iPad, the display could appear squashed when switching between apps. Spooly now recalculates the view when you return to the app.
More stable Niimbot connection: If the connection to the label printer is interrupted, Spooly automatically tries a second time and, in case of an error, tells you exactly what helps (turn printer off and on, close Niimbot app).
Label Printing with Safety Margin: Label printers like the Brother QL series could cut off the top edge of the label. Labels now maintain a small safety distance from the edge.
Push Notifications on Multi-Device Accounts fixed: If you use Spooly on multiple devices, you could end up in a state where an old device blocked the push registration of others. The push status is now per device, Android devices will automatically renew their token going forward, and if a registration fails, the app will now tell you exactly why.
Color Badges Labeled Accurately: The color badges count the colors in your spool inventory, but the description claimed "printed colors". The text now states what is actually counted.

v6.9.1
20 juli 2026
Upgrade page redesigned: Prices now appear in your currency from the start, and the purchase flow has been refined.
Updated printer info: The overview of supported printers is now up to date.

v6.9.0
20 juli 2026
Prusa INDX is supported: Spooly automatically recognizes the new Prusa INDX and displays all its slots in the printer overview, showing eight slots for a Core One with INDX, for instance, instead of the five MMU3 slots. Upon auto-import, multi-color INDX prints will appear in your print history with all used filaments and consumption per slot.
New Slot View for Prusa: MMU3 and INDX slots now appear in the same view as the AMS slots, with a spool ring, fill level, material, and remaining weight at a glance.
Prusa Printers in the Printer Overview: Connected Prusa printers now have their own card in the Printers section, with status, slots, and a Sync button.
Lifetime Upgrade for Subscribers: If you already have a monthly or annual subscription, you can now directly upgrade to a Lifetime License. Your current subscription will automatically end at the end of its period, ensuring no overlap.
AMS now self-synchronizes: Upon first opening the printer overview, AMS synchronization now starts automatically to ensure that prints are correctly assigned from the start.
Multi-color prints correctly assigned after validation: Validated multi-color prints were not internally assigned a main filament and appeared incomplete in the list and statistics. Affected prints will be retroactively fixed.
Challenge Leaderboard loads instantly: The leaderboard for a challenge could take up to 30 seconds to load and briefly displayed the values of the previous one when switching between challenges. Both issues have been fixed; the leaderboard now appears in under a second.
AMS shown immediately after connecting: Users who connected BambuLab via the settings sometimes didn't see their AMS, even though the data had already been received. The AMS is now immediately synchronized, and when empty, there is a dedicated Sync button.
New printers are recognized again: A newly purchased printer sometimes did not appear in Spooly because the device list was never updated. It is now regularly refreshed from BambuLab, which also allows previously removed printers to reappear.
Niimbot prints at the configured size: Previously, label size had no effect during Niimbot direct printing, and all prints looked identical. Now, labels up to 48 mm print at their original size, font size now works as expected, and the dialog's preview accurately reflects what will be printed.
Create storage location directly upon adding: When adding a coil from the catalog, creating a new storage location always failed. Works again.
Empty Spools Remain Visible in Print Details: If a spool became empty during a print and was moved to the archive, it disappeared from the print's filament assignment. Assigned spools now remain visible (with an "Archived" indicator), and two spools of the same color are no longer incorrectly labeled "Multi-Color".
Cryptic Printer Codes Defused: Undocumented status codes from newer BambuLab printers (e.g., from the camera system) no longer appear as a red error banner, but as a subtle notification.
Cost PDF supports special characters: The PDF export of the cost statement failed with an error if the project, customer, or company name contained characters like "<" or "&". Now the PDF export always succeeds.
Prusa Prints are now filterable: Prusa prints did not receive a printer name during automatic import, which meant the printer filter on the Prints page never found anything and the printer card showed 0 prints. New imports will now include the name, and existing prints will be retrospectively named.
English truly everywhere: The consumption forecast and statistics tooltips still contained German texts, which are now translated into all twelve languages. Additionally, your detected currency is now also used for exports and cost PDFs.

v6.8.3
14 juli 2026
No more login screen flicker on app start: Previously, when opening the app, the login screen briefly appeared, even if you were already logged in. Now, the splash screen will remain until Spooly is ready, and you'll land directly in the app.
Streamlined device selection for Niimbot printing: When printing labels from a single roll, the Bluetooth selection showed all nearby devices, such as headphones or TVs. Now, only your Niimbot printers appear.

v6.8.2
14 juli 2026
No more technical error screen after updates: Previously, if old files remained in the cache immediately after an update, a technical error message briefly appeared before the app reloaded. Now, a regular loading screen appears instead, while Spooly fetches the latest version.
Bambu Lab Login with Authenticator App: If your Bambu Lab account was protected by an authenticator app (two-factor), the connection recently failed. The login process now works smoothly again.
Under the hood cleanup: Internal improvements to usage statistics and error logging.

v6.8.1
13 juli 2026
Spoolman Import now includes Tare Weight: When you import your spools from Spoolman, Spooly will now automatically include the stored empty spool weight (tare). This ensures remaining quantities and weight calculations are immediately accurate, without you having to re-enter the tare weights.
Stability under the hood: Internal improvements to usage statistics and miscellaneous cleanup for more reliable, faster updates.

v6.7.1
13 juli 2026
Spooly supports twelve languages: Challenges, Gamification, Notifications, and the rest of the user interface are now fully translated. Spooly displays prices in your selected currency.
Clean Up Spool Numbers: If deleting spools has resulted in gaps in the IDs, you can now optionally re-number your inventory.
Print preview thumbnails were blank: After 6.7.0, too many thumbnails were requested simultaneously, leading to an error cascade. The images now load reliably again.
Archive, BambuLab Message, and Duplicates: A rollup fix for 6.7.0: access to the archive, a false BambuLab error message, and a cascading duplication issue are resolved.
Label Text on Thermal Printer: The text is rendered crisply in black and white for Niimbot printing, to prevent anything from looking faded.
Truncated icons in the coil list: Humidity and forecast icons in the list row are no longer truncated.

v6.7.0
11 juli 2026
Prusa Printers in Printer Hub: Your connected Prusa printer now also appears on the Printer page, with its own panel: status, connection, last sync, and a sync button at a glance. Previously, Prusa prints were imported, but the printer itself was nowhere to be seen.
Spool to the gram: simply weigh, Spooly calculates. The most requested feature is here: Place the spool on the scale, enter the gross weight, and Spooly automatically deducts the tare weight and corrects the remaining amount. You can now find weighing directly on every spool: in the card menu, in the list row, on the detail page, and during inventory weighing. Spooly remembers the tare weight per manufacturer: enter it once (or let it learn when editing a spool), and all future spools from that manufacturer will be pre-filled. You can manage the values centrally under Settings → Filaments; your manufacturers will automatically appear there with the number of spools.
Collapse and Expand Spool Groups: In the grouped spool view, you can now collapse groups individually or all at once. Large inventories (over 30 spools) automatically start collapsed — turning the group headers into an overview.
You control what the spool list displays: Using the new eye menu, you can individually show or hide Price, Humidity, Consumption forecast, Usage type, and Spoolman ID — the same toggles can also be found in the settings.
Archive instead of permanent deletion: The trash can in the spool overview now archives instead of hard deleting. Archived spools retain their complete print history, no longer count towards active inventory, and can be restored at any time (or undone directly in the toast notification). Empty spools automatically move to the archive, keeping your overview clean automatically. The archive replaces the previous "Show empty" toggle. Permanently deleting is still possible, and the dialog now honestly explains beforehand what happens to statistics and the spool ID in the process. Thanks for the feedback!
More Subdued Colors (Optional): Bars and forecasts turn yellow or red when stock is low. If you find this too colorful with many spools, you can now simply disable the warning colors in the settings: The warning level will then only be indicated by the status indicator.
Coil as Coil Icon: The Coil Inventory in the navigation now features a dedicated coil icon instead of the previous box.
Marble, Glitter, and Rainbow: Special surfaces now appear as their own pill directly in the spool overview, no longer just in the detail view.
Search directly from the Home Screen: Use the new magnifying glass in the Home header to jump directly into Reel Search; the search field is already focused. Tap, search, done.
Multi-select now available on mobile: Moving, exporting, archiving, or deleting multiple reels at once was previously only possible on desktop. On mobile, you can now start multi-select via the Actions menu on the Reels page.
Export: all or just the selection: If coils are marked, the export (CSV and PDF) now asks whether all filtered coils or only the marked coils should be exported. The selection bar at the bottom also has its own Export button. Thanks for the suggestion!
Prusa: Automatic import failed: The automatic retrieval of your Prusa prints every 30 minutes was out of service for all users due to an error in the activity filter — only manual import worked. Now, completed prints are coming in automatically again, and the auto-import toggle in the Prusa settings now truly works. Thanks for the report!
Labels: Mixed Font Sizes When printing multiple QR labels, some labels would appear with large fonts and others with small fonts, despite the same size being configured everywhere. Root Cause: Automatic font scaling was incorrectly based on the number of filled fields for each individual spool. Fix: All labels within a profile are now guaranteed to have the same font size. The print preview accurately reflects the final printed output.
Cost Breakdown: Preview didn't match PDF: When generating a cost breakdown via the Prints page, the preview calculated material costs using a flat rate instead of your actual spool prices. This could make it seem as if the profit margin was missing from the total amount. The preview now uses the exact same calculation as the final PDF. Thanks for the report!
Prints page loads faster: The thumbnails of your prints now load individually in the background instead of all at once with the list. Especially with long print histories and on the go with mobile data, the page feels noticeably snappier.
Hide forecast now applies everywhere: Users who had disabled the consumption forecast still saw "Not enough data" notices in the spool list. Additionally, uniform material groups now prominently display their material pill in the group header.
Streamlined Material Groups: When grouping the list by material, individual spools no longer display duplicate material tags, as the material is already indicated at the group level.
Empty spool weights lost: When saving a new manufacturer's empty spool weight, another manufacturer's entry could be overwritten. All entries are now preserved.
Rare loading error in the share dialog: After an app update, opening the share function could fail with an error message. The dialog now loads reliably.
Truncated names in the Spool List: In the list view, Spool names could shrink to two letters because the type and status badges occupied the space. The badges are now in the second line, and the name takes precedence — and on narrower windows, the list switches to taller cards, preventing any truncation.
AMS: Your assignments are preserved: If you had manually assigned a spool to an AMS slot, the automatic synchronization could overwrite it again. Confirmed assignments are now protected, and spools without an RFID chip are more robustly recognized during synchronization. Thanks for reporting this!
Prusa in the app too: The new Prusa support was initially rolled out via an instant update only for the browser, leaving the installed app behind. Now, the app also receives all Prusa features.
Stability under the hood: The error monitoring has been fundamentally decluttered (phantom reports from sleeping devices, log storms from printer connections), and a memory error with very large print histories has been fixed. Spooly now runs a bit more smoothly and faster for everyone.

v6.6.0
4 juli 2026
Completely new Printer Hub: The printer page has been completely redesigned from the ground up. Each AMS slot now displays its spool as a ring with color, material, remaining quantity, and warning level, just like in the inventory. Multiple AMS units are named A, B, C, and D, just like in Bambu Studio; on mobile, you can expand them individually. If you have multiple printers, you can switch between them using a selection bar at the top. And when a print is in progress, you'll see live progress, remaining time, and which slot is printing, along with a countdown of how much filament the active spool still has available.
Connect Prusa Printers: Spooly now supports Prusa Connect. Simply log in with your Prusa account (using the same credentials as on connect.prusa3d.com), and Spooly will now automatically retrieve your finished prints every 30 minutes and deduct filament consumption from the appropriate spool, just like with Bambu Lab. Your password is not stored; only an encrypted access token is.
One-click reordering: When a spool runs low, you'll now find a reorder link on the spool card, in the consumption forecast, and in the shopping list, which takes you directly to the relevant search at 3DJake (marked as advertising; Spooly may receive a small commission). This way, your supply is ordered before the print stops.
Completely revamped Spool Overview: Your inventory page has been redesigned. You can switch between Card, List, and Group views and group your spools by color and material, color only, material, storage location, brand, or usage (private/commercial). The color grouping is really smart: Spooly understands color names; "Bone White" and "Cream" are categorized as white; white, gray, and black are separate groups; and rainbow as well as multi-color spools get their own group. A gradient within a color (e.g., Blue Hawaii) remains with its color. Four new filters and four new sorting options help you find the right spool faster. On mobile, sorting, filtering, and actions have moved into clean sheets; on desktop, the tools are now labeled. And you can now set the percentage for when a spool is considered "almost empty" yourself; warnings and the shopping list will adapt accordingly.
Faster Spool Creation: The dialog for creating and editing a spool has been redesigned: the most important fields are presented first, with everything else organized into clearly named groups such as Purchase, Spool & Refill, or Usage & Notes. Each group, even when collapsed, displays what you've entered, such as price and purchase date, without needing to expand it. Materials like ABS, PA, and PC now have their own distinct colors instead of uniform grey pills.
Spools look consistent everywhere: Whether in the spool list, selection dialog, print assignment, or AMS view: A spool is now displayed consistently throughout the entire app, with color, material, and fill level at a glance.
Storage directly in the Humidity Panel: You can now see how a spool is stored in the Humidity Panel and change its storage with a tap. If you insert a spool into the AMS, Spooly automatically sets its storage to "AMS", and if you remove it, Spooly reminds you to select the new storage location. While drying, the humidity drop icon shows an orange flame.
Spooly now speaks 12 languages: Czech, Swedish, Danish, and Turkish have been added. You can now also change the language directly on the website using the new language selector (previously, only German/English was available there). Additionally, the info pages (About Spooly, Features, FAQ) are now available in all languages instead of just German and English.
Location Emoji Visible Everywhere: The emoji you assign to your locations now also appears on spool cards and in the list view, no longer just during selection.
Consumption Forecast cleaned up: The forecast now displays its metrics on mobile in two clear rows instead of being cramped side-by-side. And where a forecast is not yet available, it now displays "Not enough data" instead of an uninformative gray question mark.
Improved number readability: The zero in all numbers (weights, percentages, prices, reel numbers) now has a slash and can no longer be confused with an 8. Thanks to everyone who reported this!
Business Page on Mobile Cleaned Up: The key figures at the top are no longer cut off, the cost toggles have more room again, and oversized labels no longer overflow their buttons.
Statistics without Google: Google Analytics has been completely removed. Spooly now uses a self-hosted, cookie-less, and anonymous visitor statistics solution; your data stays with Spooly.
Ghost Spool on External Holder: On some printers (especially X1 Carbon), a black, unknown 'external spool' repeatedly appeared even though the external holder was empty, and could not be permanently deleted. The cause was a transparency color incorrectly interpreted by the printer. The ghost has been eliminated and will automatically disappear from affected accounts with the next sync.
Incorrect Spool Change Notification at Print Start: For spools without an RFID tag, Spooly sometimes incorrectly reported a spool change when a print started because the printer provided the filament level with a delay. This false alarm has been fixed.
"AMS removed?" notification during wireless dropouts: Brief dropouts in the printer connection could falsely trigger the notification that your AMS had been removed. This notification now only appears when the printer actually reports that no AMS is connected.
Deleted Spools Reassigned: If you deleted a spool that was assigned to an AMS slot, Spooly sometimes arbitrarily assigned a similar spool from your inventory to that slot. Deleting now cleanly removes the assignment, and even when an external spool is removed, no old assignments are left behind.
"Marked as empty" was not retained: The manual marking of an AMS slot as empty could be lost due to an internal update of the color values. It now reliably persists.Text
Deleted Printers Kept Returning: A Bambu printer deleted from Spooly would automatically reappear in the overview after a short time. Now, once deleted, they stay deleted.
Challenge Progress after Spool Assignment: If you assigned a spool to a print retrospectively, color and consumption were sometimes not counted towards your monthly challenges. Now both count reliably.
Mobile Dialogs: Many dialogs on mobile didn't utilize the full screen width and looked squeezed. They now open full-screen on mobile.
Security and Maintenance: All known security vulnerabilities in third-party packages closed, missing translations in all languages updated, and much under-the-hood cleanup for faster, more secure updates.

v6.5.1
30 juni 2026
Homepage could hang: In rare cases, especially right after the last update, the homepage would freeze with an error message instead of loading normally. This has been fixed, and the homepage now loads reliably again.
Bambu connection status was not displayed: For some users, the display indicating whether the Bambu printer was connected failed to load and reported an error. The connection status is now reliably displayed again.
New printers missing from the overview: If you added a new printer to your Bambu account (for example, an H2C), it might have been missing from the printer overview, even though its prints were already appearing in Spooly. Such printers now automatically appear with their correct name in the overview, without you having to do anything at all.
Cost PDF failed to load for some project names: If your project name contained umlauts or special characters, the download of the cost breakdown as a PDF could fail. The PDF now loads reliably with any project name.
Google login failed in rare cases: If an account with your email address already existed, the Google login could fail with an error message. Now you will be properly logged into your existing account.

v6.5.0
25 juni 2026
Duplicate Printer after renaming: Users who renamed their printer in the Bambu app would then see it twice in Spooly. Old and new names are now reliably merged, and the printer will only appear once again.
3MF Import Falsely Reported 'Not Sliced': If you sliced a file in OrcaSlicer or ElegooSlicer and exported it via 'Save Project', Spooly still reported it as 'not yet sliced' upon upload. Spooly now correctly recognizes such files as sliced. However, weight and print time are not included in the file with this export variant. For Spooly to be able to track both, you should export in the slicer as 'G-Code.3MF' instead of 'Save Project'. Spooly will now also inform you of this directly within the project.

v6.4.0
13 juni 2026
Spooly in 8 languages: In addition to German and English, the entire app is now available in French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, and Portuguese. Your browser language is automatically detected, and you can switch languages anytime in the settings. Emails, push notifications, achievements, and challenges are also translated.
Bambu Lab Cloud Sync now free for everyone: Automatic import of your prints from the Bambu Lab Cloud is no longer a Pro feature. Connect your account and your prints, including filament consumption, will automatically appear in Spooly.
Remove Printers: You can now remove individual printers (Bambu, Klipper, Prusa) from the Printer Hub. The associated print history remains intact.
Bambu Lab Expiry Warning: Spooly now warns approximately 10 days in advance before your Bambu Lab connection expires, so that automatic import doesn't suddenly stop.
New Homepage: [spooly.eu](spooly.eu/welcome) has received a complete redesign, featuring genuine insights into the app, live community figures, and all features at a glance.
Bambu Lab Connection: An expired connection is now properly detected and you will be prompted to reconnect, instead of the import silently failing in the background.
Fewer False Alarms: Temporary disruptions to the Bambu Lab cloud (rate limit or Cloudflare) no longer falsely disconnect the connection.
iOS Keyboard: The on-screen keyboard no longer obstructs input fields. The active field automatically scrolls above the keyboard.
Empty AMS Slot: An emptied AMS slot now stays empty, even with non-RFID spools. Previously, the old filament would reappear.
AMS Recognition: Bambu Lab original spools (e.g., PETG HF or PLA Basic) incorrectly displayed a manufacturer discrepancy at the slot. The product line is now correctly recognized as material, and the false warning has been removed.
Active Slot on New Printers: On the new Bambu generation (e.g., P2S and H2D) with multiple AMS units, the wrong AMS lit up during printing. Now the unit that is actually printing blinks.
AMS HT units are now correctly identified: Prints from AMS HT units previously got stuck and had to be manually assigned. Spooly now correctly recognizes the HT units and automatically records consumption.
External Spool on H2D: On H2D printers, the external spool was invisible in Spooly. It is now recognized, including protection against accidentally emptying it mid-print.
Filament Quantity: The remaining amount of a spool can no longer exceed the spool's size, for example, after manual input or import.
Excel Import: If an upload fails, you will now receive a clear error message.
AI Photo Recognition: If spool recognition fails, Spooly will now clearly and understandably inform you.

Backup of your complete collection: Back up your entire inventory (reels, prints, projects, and settings) with one click as a file on your device. This way, you always have your own copy in case something goes wrong. Find it under Settings, Privacy.
Restore Backup: Restore a backed-up file at any time, either as an addition to your current collection ('Add') or to completely replace everything ('Replace'). Before replacing, I automatically create another backup to ensure nothing is truly lost.
Import filaments from a CSV file: Do you manage your spools in a spreadsheet? Import them directly as CSV. Storage locations are automatically recognized and created if needed. The easiest way is to download the CSV export as a template beforehand, fill it out in Excel, and then re-upload it.
Print Inventory List as PDF: Generate a clear, printable list of your complete stock, including storage location, manufacturer, type, remaining quantity, price, and purchase date. Perfect for weighing and recording your rolls on-site, without a phone or laptop. Your active filters and search will be taken into account.
Color overview shows only what's actually there: Empty and consumed spools are no longer counted in the color overview on the home page. Using "Show empty", you can display them again if needed.
New Reel Immediately Visible: After creation, the list jumps to the top and the new reel appears right at the front, no more searching or scrolling.
Copies clearly marked: A duplicated filament now receives the suffix "(Copy)" and is immediately identifiable.
Faster Search: In the filament selection dialog, the search field is now automatically focused, so you can start typing immediately without a click. (Mobile Only)
Group Title with Name: The grouped coil view title now shows the name, no longer just the material type.
Wording: 'Player' is now 'Smelter', because here things are made, not played.
Bugfixes: Various bug fixes in the front-end and back-end
